TEC4 Hubert McKenzie, 55, U.S. Army, born October 27, 1914, passed away from
health complications on July 12, 1970. In World War II, McKenzie served as a
Combat Medic with Second United States Army and was one of the 73,000 brave
Americans involved in the Normandy Invasion. Armed only with a pistol and
medical supplies, he braved enemy fire to help our wounded soldiers. McKenzie
was so dedicated that he continued to aid Allied troops even after being hit by
grenade shrapnel. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. Rest easy, Soldier! Til
Valhalla, Brother!
