TSgt Daniel R. Swaney, 30, U.S. Air Force, born in Georgia July 25, 1984,
succumbed to his demons on May 7, 2015. Swaney was a Flight Engineer with 55th
Fighter Squadron and 721st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. He then joined the
66th Rescue Squadron and deployed to Korea, Africa, and Afghanistan for
Operations Enduring Freedom and Freedom's Sentinel as part of a Combat Search
and Rescue Team. There, he helped locate many lost, missing, and wounded
service members from the battlefield and return them to safety. Fly high, Airman!
