SSG Joseph C. Skordensky, 74, U.S. Army, born in Pennsylvania February 27, 1947,
passed away on August 26, 2021. Skordensky was a Motor Sergeant with 63rd
Armor Regiment in the Vietnam War. There, he oversaw maintenance plans and
technical training programs for his men to learn vehicle repair. After the war,
Skordensky continued to serve our country with the Georgia Army National Guard.
He was a true patriot, and the only thing he loved more than our country was his
family. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla,
Brother!
