In Memory OfSSG Duriel J. Powell

SSG Duriel J. Powell, 33, U.S. Army, born January 26, 1979, passed away on
September 28, 2012. Powell served as a Field Artillery Firefinder Radar Operator
with 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Infantry Regiment and deployed
to the Middle East twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. There, he would
establish radio communications and build bunkers to protect our artillery
equipment. Powell enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He
was a genuinely selfless man who would do anything for his loved ones. Rest easy,
Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
