SSG Christopher R. Webb, 26, U.S. Army, born in California December 16, 1978, was killed in action on March 7, 2007. Webb was serving as a Recruiter in New Jersey, where he was named "Top Recruiter" three times, when he deployed to the Middle East. In Iraq, he served as a Fire Support Specialist with 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. While conducting a combat operation in Baghdad, Webb passed away when an IED struck his vehicle. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
