SSG Christopher O. Moudry, 31, U.S. Army, born in Maryland July 25, 1975, was killed in action on October 4, 2006. Moudry served as a Cavalry Scout with 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While searching for a weapons cache north of Baghdad, his unit was ambushed by enemy forces. Moudry and three of his brothers-in-arms did not survive the attack. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and has a bridge named in his honor in his hometown of Baltimore. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
