In Memory OfSSG Albin A. Mocek
February 1, 1921 - June 15, 1991
SSG Albin A. Mocek, 70, U.S. Army, born February 1, 1921, passed away on June
15, 1991. Mocek served with 643rd Tank Destroyer Battalion in WWII and deployed
to fight in the European Campaign. There, he helped crush the enemy in the Battle
of the Bulge and then drove the Germans back across the Rhine, expediting the
war's end in Europe. Mocek was far from a spectator in life. He was an active
member of his church, Commander of his American Legion Post, and played
outfield for the farm club of the Boston Red Sox. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla,
