SP4 John W. Joiner Jr., 54, U.S. Army, born April 17, 1952, passed away from a
heart attack on June 5, 2006. Joiner served as a Track Vehicle Mechanic 1st
Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam. There, he
ensured his unit's tanks, APCs, and construction equipment were always wellmaintained
and ready for action. Joiner was a man of deep faith and after the
military became the preacher of his local Baptist church. He was a great friend, a
loving husband, and a proud, dedicated father. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla,
