SP4 Jerry L. Gass, 64, U.S. Army, born in Tennessee February 8, 1949, passed
away from lung cancer on September 3, 2013. During the Vietnam War, Gass was a
Light Weapons Infantryman with 3rd Armored Division and deployed to Germany
as part of the United States Army Europe and Africa command. Next, he was
assigned to 3rd Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment, and remained stationed in
Europe for the rest of his service. Gass is remembered as a smart, hardworking
man who was always there when you needed a friend. Rest easy, Soldier! Til
