SP4 David M. Walker, 75, U.S. Army, born September 8, 1946, passed away on
January 1, 2022. Walker served as a Door Gunner aboard Chinook and Huey
Helicopters with 178th Assault Support Helicopter Company in Vietnam. There, he
helped bring troops and supplies to the frontline. Walker and his crew spent over
1,500 hours in the air over the course of hundreds of sorties and was one of the
fortunate few to have never lost a man. For his service, he earned the Air Medal
with 15 Oak Leaf Clusters, two with "V" device. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla,
