In Memory OfSGT Ryan M. Wood

SGT Ryan M. Wood, 22, U.S. Army, born in Oklahoma July 11, 1984, was killed in action on June 21, 2007. Wood served as an Infantryman with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, and deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his second tour, his team was on patrol when an IED struck his vehicle. Wood and four of his brothers-in-arms did not survive the blast. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and has a college scholarship program named in his honor. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
