In Memory Of

SGT Jeffrey R. Shaver, 26, Washington Army National Guard, born in Washington
October 22, 1977, was killed in action on May 12, 2004. Shaver was a Combat
Medic with 81st Brigade Combat Team, and deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He was working in his base's medical clinic, when he heard a patrol was a man
short and volunteered to fill in. While his convoy was moving through Baghdad,
Shaver passed away when his vehicle was struck by an IED. For his service, he
earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
