SGT James W. Howard, 77, U.S. Army, born February 13, 1945, passed away on
February 7, 2023. In 1968, Howard was drafted into the Army and deployed to fight
the spread of Communism in Vietnam. There, he used his skills as a mechanic,
helping maintain his unit's vehicles with 2nd Armored Division. After the war,
Howard resumed his profession as a mechanic, was passionate about working on
cars, especially his 1966 Mustang, and loved to collect and race hot rods. For his
service, he earned two Purple Hearts. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
