In Memory OfSGT Donald L. Shifley

SGT Donald L. Shifley, 93, U.S. Army, born in Ohio June 20, 1926, passed away on
September 2, 2019. In WWII, Shifley was an M1 Armor Crewman with 21st Tank
Battalion, 10th Armored Division as part of Patton's 3rd Army. He drove his
Sherman tank through France, Belgium, and Germany, obliterating Axis forces in
the Siege of Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge. When the war ended, Shifley
helped locate the temporary graves of our troops who died in combat and ensured
his brothers-in-arms received proper burials. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla,
