SGT Dennis C. Schlemmer, 72, U.S. Army, born in Michigan March 21, 1950,
passed away on January 28, 2023. Schlemmer served two tours in Vietnam as a
Senior Wheel Vehicle Mechanic with 864th Engineer Battalion (Construction).
There, he was in charge of maintaining equipment used to build bridges,
infrastructure, and various structures essential to our troops in combat.
Schlemmer was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting,
but above all, he enjoyed hitting the open road on his Harley Davidson. Rest easy,
Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
