SGT David S. Collins, 24, U.S. Army, born August 10, 1981, was killed in action on
April 9, 2006. SGT David S. Collins served with 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st
Airborne Division (Air Assault), and deployed to the Middle East in support of
Operation Iraqi Freedom. While on his second tour, his unit was on patrol in
Ramadi when an IED detonated next to the vehicle he was riding in. Collins and
one of his brothers-in-arms did not survive the explosion. For his service, he
earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
