SGM Delmon A. Rucker, 86, U.S. Army, born in Virginia November 20, 1920, passed away on December 30, 2006. In WWII Rucker was a Medical NCO with Medical Detachment, 239th Quartermaster Battalion (Mobile). He deployed to Europe and fought in Normandy, the Northern France Campaign, and the Rhineland Offensive. After the war, Rucker had a diverse 26 years of service. He taught U.S. troops in Germany, was the Information Supervisor/Editor for military magazines, and lastly, a News Reporter for NATO/Shape Support Group. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
