PVT Michael G. Boyk Sr., 68, U.S. Army, born July 20, 1949, passed away from
cancer on August 11, 2017. During the height of the Vietnam War, Boyk volunteered
to go overseas and fight for our country. He served as a Door Gunner and provided
cover fire for troops on the ground and in the air. Boyk is remembered as a hardworking
and genuinely caring man. Whether teaching his children the value of a
good deed, helping keep his community clean, or helping a homeless stranger get
back on their feet, he always made time for others. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla,
