PO3 Donald E. Pavey, 78, U.S. Navy, born in Indiana September 28, 1944, passed away on August 3, 2023. Pavey fought for our country with honor in Vietnam. After the war, he continued to serve the U.S. at the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane Division. There, Pavey was an Ammunitions Destroyer, dismantling and disposing expired munitions and ordinances. Pavey put family before everything. No matter how busy he was, he would drop what he was doing to attend every one of his children's sporting events. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate! Til Valhalla, Brother!
