PO2 & Ofc Jason T. Swanger, 41, U.S. Navy, Las Vegas Metropolitan P.D., born in
Rhode Island October 26, 1979, passed away from COVID-19 on June 24, 2021.
Swanger was a Culinary Specialist for 11 years in the Navy aboard the USS John C.
Stennis (CVN-74) and then in the Nevada Army National Guard with 72nd MP
Company before joining the L.V.M.P.D. in 2014. From going on patrol and training
new officers to community outreach and playing Santa Claus at Christmas, he was
always trying to make a difference. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla,
