PFC Kenneth E. Zeigler II, 22, U.S. Army, born in Pennsylvania January 17, 1983, passed away from combat-related injuries on May 12, 2005. Zeigler was an Infantryman with 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division and deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom. While returning from a routine patrol in Baghdad, he was severely wounded when an IED struck the Humvee he was driving. Zeigler succumbed to his injuries at an aid station shortly after. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
