PFC Jacob "J.T." Atchison, 19, U.S. Army, born in Iowa January 30, 2004, passed
away in a training accident on June 12, 2023. Atchison had wanted to be in the
Army from a young age, so it was no surprise when he joined. He was undergoing
One Station Unit Training attached to 3rd Battalion, 47th Infantry Regiment, 197th
Infantry Brigade, and intended to join the 75th Rangers, but passed away before
he could achieve that goal. Atchison was a true patriot who made everyone around
him a better person, and his absence is deeply felt by many. Rest easy, Soldier! Til
