PFC Jack L. Smith, 82, U.S. Army, born in Oregon December 11, 1933, passed away on May 16, 2016. During the Korean War, Smith was stationed in Germany, serving as a Heavy Vehicle Driver with 62nd Transportation Company. There, he transported troops, supplies, and munitions to U.S. bases across the country. After the war, Smith returned home with an entrepreneurial spirit and opened his own sandblasting company. He was an active member of his church and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hiking, and camping. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
