In Memory OfMWD Nero D. Dog

MWD Nero D. Dog, U.S.M.C., passed away in a training exercise on September 9, 2023. Nero was an Explosive Detection Dog with 1st Law Enforcement Battalion, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. While not the friendliest at first, he quickly warmed up to his handler and they were soon inseparable. Nero searched over 15,000 buildings and vehicles and conducted eight missions in support of the Secret Service. His abilities and training made him far more than an airport bombsniffing K9. Nero was a Marine, through and through. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
