Lieutenant Bryon W. Johnson, 32, U.S. Air Force, Sedgwick County Fire Dist. #1 (SCFD), born January 16, 1975, passed away from line of duty-related injuries on September 24, 2007. Johnson was a Fire Protection Specialist in the Air Force for five years before joining the SCFD. His unyielding dedication to protecting his community was quickly recognized, and he rose to the rank of Lieutenant in less than seven years. For his service, he was posthumously awarded the "Line of Duty Death Medal of Valor." Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
