Deputy Sheriff Ryan C. Seguin, 23, Broward County Sheriff's Office, born in Michigan May 17, 1982, died in the line of duty on February 15, 2006. Seguin was an eager Deputy, always looking to do more to protect his community. His skills were quickly recognized and chosen to work undercover with their Selective Enforcement Team. Seguin was named ""Deputy of the Month"" four times, earned a Life Saving Award for saving a boy from drowning in an alligator-infested lake, and has a highway named in his honor.
