In Memory OfCWO3 John M. Gillis

CWO3 John M. Gillis, 61, U.S.M.C., born in Massachusetts June 17, 1958, passed
away from health complications on June 16, 2020. Gillis had a very diverse 20-year
career in the Marines. He was a Utilities Officer, a Director of Bachelor Housing, a
drug & alcohol counselor, and lastly, an Engineer Operations Officer until retiring in
1998. Gillis then became a defense contractor but decided to follow his passion
for helping animals. He worked with animal care services and helped many fourlegged
