CW3 Michael F. Anderson, 36, U.S. Army, born in Minnesota September 19, 1954,
passed away in a helicopter crash on February 21, 1991. Anderson was a
Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot with 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment
(Airborne) and deployed for Operation Desert Storm. While returning from a lowaltitude
mission to medivac a wounded soldier, his helicopter ran into dense fog
and then a brutal sandstorm and crashed. For his service, earned a Purple Heart,
the Legion of Merit, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Rest easy, Soldier! Til
