CW3 Jedidiah E. Mathis, 40, U.S. Army, born in Florida September 19, 1980,
passed away from cancer on February 26, 2021. After serving as an Infantryman
with 3rd Infantry Division, Mathis decided to take to the sky. He became an
Apache Helicopter Pilot with 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division,
and deployed to the Middle East, flying combat operations in Operations Iraqi
Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Mathis is remembered as a loyal man of faith who
would go out of his way to help the ones he loved. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla,
