CPL Richard M. Schoolcraft, 72, U.S. Army, born in Washington March 31, 1943,
passed away on January 21, 2016. Schoolcraft was a Field Artillery Gunner with
6th Battalion, 14th Field Artillery Regiment in Vietnam. There, he helped conduct
recon operations to determine the location and strength of enemy forces, vehicles,
and fortifications. Schoolcraft loved the outdoors, hunting, and took advantage of
any opportunity he had to go fishing. He is remembered as a genuinely caring man
who always made time for his family. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
