Cpl & Deputy Forrest H. Scott, 28, U.S.M.C., Polk County Sheriff's Office, born in Florida May 24, 1995, passed away from heart disease on August 21, 2023. Scott first served as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Technician with 2nd Marine Logistics Group at Camp Lejune. After four years in the Corps, he joined the Polk County S.O. to protect the community he called home. Scott was a dedicated Deputy who went above and beyond and earned numerous decorations, including the Medal of Valor and the Life Saving Medal. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
