CPL Chester E. Collins, 73, U.S. Army, born in Ohio December 28, 1918, passed away on December 12, 1992. In WWII, Collins was a Special Vehicle Operator with 71st Infantry Division as part of the Red Ball Express as the U.S. made its way from France to Germany. After the war, he stayed in Germany as an MP to keep order in the war-torn nation. In addition to official duties, Collins helped German civilians by "borrowing" a G.I. truck to bring coal to needy families. For his service, he earned the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero!
