Cpl Charles L. Scholes Sr., 84, U.S.M.C., born in Kansas February 5, 1930, passed
away on January 10, 2015. Scholes served as a Radio Operator with a Naval
Gunfire Division in the Korean War. There, he would observe and relay the location
of enemy positions to our ships, allowing for devastating artillery volleys against
their troops, vehicles, and strongholds. After the war, Scholes continued to serve
the U.S. at the Parsons Ammunition Plant, ensuring a steady flow of munitions and
ordinance for our military. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
