Til Valhalla Project was founded by Marine veteran Korey Shaffer who honors fallen heroes including first responders, law enforcement and military members.Shaffer was injured while serving in Afghanistan and in an training incident. After arriving back in the States, he had a very tough transition.
He soon found out one of his fellow Marines had taken his own life. Using equipment from a previous company he started, Shaffer started making free plaques as a means of therapy. As more people he knew died, Shaffer began creating more plaques and eventually he started a clothing company to make money so he could keep making these plaques for families, for free.
“Everytime you lose a brother or sister in arms, we say 'Til Valhalla brother or sister,' saying 'We'll see you again" .
Shaffer quit his job and dropped out of school to focus fully on this project and do something he loved.“We are a patriotic apparel company, that is giving back in ways no other has,”.
After each plaque is made, it is hand delivered by members and supporters all across the United States, where the families will be surprised at their doorstep.
