YN2 Dawna M. Souza, 46, U.S. Navy, born September 29, 1972, passed away from cancer on February 8, 2019. Souza served as a Yeoman and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. There, she performed various administrative duties, including maintaining the ship’s stockrooms and ensuring the vessel had all necessary supplies while at sea. Souza is remembered for her vibrant personality, can-do attitude, and generosity toward others. She was a true patriot who took great pride in serving our country.
