In Memory OfTSgt William H. Jefferson Jr.

TSgt William H. Jefferson Jr., 34, U.S. Air Force, born July 21, 1973, was killed in action on March 22, 2008. A combat controller with the 21st Special Tactics Squadron, he first served four years as a Marine in 2nd Recon Battalion. He deployed across Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Horn of Africa, and passed away near Sperwan Ghar when his vehicle struck an IED. A skydiver and poker player, he was a husband to Kristy and father to Tyler and Natalie. For his service, Jefferson earned the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Fly High, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
