TSGT Paul L. LeBrun, 21, U.S. Army Air Corps, born in West Virginia August 6, 1921, was killed in action on July 25, 1943. LeBrun served as a Flight Engineer and Top Turret Gunner with 388th Bomber Group, Heavy, 563rd Bomber Squadron in WWII. After successfully bombing an airfield in Westrow, Germany, his aircraft was attacked by enemy fighters. The B-17 sustained heavy damage and crashed into the North Sea, claiming the lives of LeBrun and nine of his brothers-in-arms. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. Fly high, Hero!
