TEC 5 & Officer John H. Hollis, 86, U.S. Army and Corrections Officer, born July 19, 1921, in Sugarcreek Township, Harrison County, OH, passed away from dementia on July 26, 2007. John served with Patton’s Third Army during WWII and later as a Corrections Officer for 30 years with the Ohio Department of Corrections. He was the calm, steady anchor of his family, a man whose humility was so profound that his loved ones had to piece together his remarkable story after he was gone. Rest easy, Hero!
