T5 Frederick R. Miller, 22, U.S. Army, born November 19, 1921, was killed in action on November 13, 1944. In WWII, Miller was a Combat Medic with 381st Infantry Regiment, 96th Infantry Division, and deployed to the Pacific Theater. There, his unit was tasked with liberating the Philippines from Japanese occupation. During a firefight, Miller was providing aid to a brother-in-arms who was lying wounded in exposed terrain when he was hit by enemy fire.
