In Memory OfS/Sgt Harry Christensen

S/Sgt Harry Christensen, 59, U.S. Army, born November 24, 1909, passed away from health complications on July 14, 1969. Christensen was an Infantryman with 128th Infantry Regiment in WWII. He deployed to the Pacific and took part in the Battle of Luzon, where he was badly wounded by an enemy mortar. Christensen got right back in the fight as a Company Commander and led his men through the Villa Verde Trail, helping break Japanese defenses and pave the way for the liberation of the Philippines. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
