S/Sgt Albert A. Rosenberg, 32, U.S. Army, born July 19, 1912, was killed in action on January 16, 1945. Rosenberg with 359th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division in WWII. During the Battle of the Bulge, his unit was sent to seize the high ground east of Longvilly. While making their assault, Rosenberg fell when he was hit by enemy artillery. Although they did not rout the Germans that day, they drew inspiration from his sacrifice and continued to fight until they were victorious. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart.
