SSG Tanner W. Grone, 25, U.S. Army, born in New Hampshire August 18, 1998, passed away in a training accident on November 10, 2023. Grone was a Black Hawk Helicopter Crew Chief and Flight Instructor with 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan multiple times. While conducting an in-flight refueling training mission, his helicopter suffered a catastrophic mechanical failure and crashed into the Mediterranean Sea. Grone and four of his brothers-in-arms did not survive the crash. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
