In Memory OfSSG Stephen J. Sutherland

SSG Stephen J. Sutherland, 33, U.S. Army, born in New Jersey November 7, 1972, passed away in a non-combat incident on November 12, 2005. Sutherland was a Cavalry Scout with 4th Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, and deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom. There, he conducted recon, surveillance, and urban pacification operations to gain critical intel about high-value Insurgent targets in enemy hotspots surrounding Baghdad. For his service, Sutherland earned the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
