In Memory OfSSG Sherman G. Fuller

SSG Sherman G. Fuller, 72, U.S. Army, born July 26, 1942, passed away on January 18, 2015. Fuller was an Infantryman with 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment in Vietnam. During an assault mission, he was acting squad leader when NVA troops attacked. When several men were wounded, Fuller organized a team to rescue them. While aiding a fallen medic, he shielded him with his own body and was shot, but stayed in the fight until being forced to evacuate. For his service, Fuller earned a Purple Heart and the Distinguished Service Cross. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
