SSG Richard W. Langley Jr., 31, U.S. Army, born March 9, 1983, passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2014. Langley was a Satellite Communications System Operator Maintainer with 3rd Military Information Support Battalion (Airborne) and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. There, he assisted in PSYOP missions to influence the native population to support U.S. objectives. Langley's efforts were pivotal in encouraging once-hostile combatants to join us in the fight against Taliban, Al-Qaeda, and ISIS forces in the region.
Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
