SSG Kyle A. Eggers, 27, U.S. Army, born in Nebraska May 26, 1977, was killed in
action on December 5, 2004. Eggers served as an Infantryman with 1st Battalion,
506th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division and deployed to the Middle East in
support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While on combat patrol in Habbaniya, his
Humvee was struck by an IED. Eggers and one of his brothers-in-arms passed
away in the blast. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and
has a memorial fund named in his honor. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
