SSG Devon A. Keener, 23, U.S. Army, born June 22, 2001, lost the battle within on January 7, 2025. Keener was a Howitzer Section Chief with 3rd Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment. While stationed at Joint Base Lewis‑McChord, he coordinated mission-readiness exercises to ensure his unit was trained to handle extreme situations in the event of deployment. Keener enjoyed hunting, golfing, and cheering on his Dallas Cowboys. He was a confident and driven man whose big personality never failed to bring light to bleak situations. Rest easy, Soldier!
