SSG & Corporal Avery D. Hillman, 50, Georgia Army National Guard, Crisp County Sheriff's Office (CCSO), born in Georgia January 14, 1970, passed away from COVID-19 on October 31, 2020. Hillman had several roles with the CCSO. He worked with the Detention, Courts, Patrol, and Hospital Security divisions, protecting his community in any way possible. In addition to his 30 years on the force, Hillman was an Infantryman with 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and deployed to Bosnia as part of Task Force Eagle. Rest easy; We have the watch now!
