SPC Scotty W. Carmickle, 19, U.S. Army, born in Kentucky May 3, 1974, passed away from health complications on April 24, 1994. Carmickle served as a Cavalry Scout with 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. While stationed at Fort Hood, he conducted various reconnaissance, security, and field exercises to develop the skills needed for potential deployments. Carmickle enjoyed playing football, martial arts, and learning new things. He was a fiercely loyal friend, a great brother, and a loving son. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
