SPC Richard G. Weeks III, 29, U.S. Army, born December 26, 1983, lost the battle within on September 6, 2013. Weeks served as an MP with 363rd MP Company and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. There, he was tasked with protecting U.S. convoys
and managing enemy detainees. Weeks then started a career in law enforcement as a Correctional Officer at the Huttonsville Correctional Center. To help prevent young people from one day ending up on his cell block, he also worked with troubled youths to set them on the right path. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
